Frequently Asked Questions

What is Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening?

Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening is a revolutionary procedure that only a certified technician can perform. This treatment requires no risky and costly surgery, does not cause over lifting, no damage to skin, and only eliminates unwanted lines and saggy skin. Prior to treatment, a numbing cream is applied on the treatment area for client’s comfort. After one session, clients will be able to notice instant changes, although its full effect will be visible after 8-12 weeks.

Is a consultation recommended?

Yes, anyone who wants to try Fibroblast Plasma treatment is recommended to have a face-to-face consultation with a certified technician. An assessment with Darleen that will last for about 20-30 minutes ensures that you get the right treatment plan to achieve your desired results. There are multiple factors that may affect the aging process, hence each person and the skin area to be treated need to be evaluated and examined in order to identify what is the appropriate scheme to follow and will best suit you.As your trusted plasma pro, it is my goal to keep my clients informed, meet their expectations, and satisfy them with optimal results.

Does the treatment hurt?

Fibroblast is a non-invasive procedure that causes minimal level of pain. Prior to treatment, a numbing cream is applied to lessen any discomfort and the procedure will then be painless. Patients may experience some swelling and redness of the skin that will last up to 3 days, but may take up to 2-3 weeks before it fully recovers. And please take note that the upper eyelids will have swelling for about 3-4 days.Aside from the swelling and redness, tiny spots called as carbon crusts form on the area that was treated. These spots should not be touched or picked for 5-10 days. To avoid major complications, you will be given instructions for aftercare.

Can I use cosmetics after the procedure?

Right after the treatment, carbon crusts form over the treated skin area. It is advisable to not put makeup or moisturizing creams on for about 7-10 days while these crusts have not fall off. Besides cosmetics, all direct heat including sun, UV rays, heavy workouts, and saunas should be avoided for over 4 weeks. Once crusts are completely cured, applying sunscreen of SP50 on the area is a must to prevent burning effects and aging.

How does the Fibroblast work?

In the procedure, a handpiece called plasma pen is used. This innovative technology produces an electric arc or plasma flash between the tip of the tool and the patient’s skin in a micro-millimeter-size point. The plasma that has been discharged instantly diminishes excess skin, retracts the tissue, which will then result to skin tightening without causing damage to surrounding areas. After the treatment, you may notice a series of tiny brown spots on the treated area, which will fall off after 5-7 days.

How long does Fibroblast procedure takes?

To start the session, a numbing cream is spread over the area to minimize the risk of pain. It will take 20-40 minutes before the anesthetic takes effect. Treatment time usually takes 30-90 minutes depending on the size of the skin area. But the duration of the procedure may vary depending on what you and your technician has discussed during the consultation.

What are the aftercare treatments?

Aftercare is an important part of the healing process after treatment. Each patient should bear this in mind in order to avoid conflicts and achieve the best results.

  • At the very moment you feel a burning sensation and you become uncomfortable about it, we suggest that you take Tylenol immediately to ease the pain.
  • For every patient, it is normal to experience some swelling on the treated area. This often happens around the eyes, as this is the most sensitive part. It can last for days and can even affect your sight in the early days. We advise that you apply cold compress on the swollen area. But if the swelling is more serious, it is better to take anti-histamine to reduce its puffiness.
  • As part of the healing process, you may notice an arrangement of tiny brown spots right on the treated area. These typically come off within days, and will take you 2 weeks before they totally disappear. It is best to avoid picking the carbon crusts, as it may cause infection or scar. Occasional weeping can also occur.

During the healing process, the treated area is so sensitive that you may feel that it suddenly becomes hot and turns red, and sometimes pus appears. If such cases happen, please immediately contact your plasma technician, as this may be because of infection.
  • It is a must to always keep the treated area clean and dry, most probably away from alcohol-based cleansers and direct sunlight. It is strictly advised to put broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF50 daily for up to 12 weeks once the crusts have scale off.

It is essential to take note each of our aftercare recommendations in order to prevent severe conditions. Please be reminded that the membrane post care collection should be applied twice a day within 7 days on the treated area. And always keep in mind to not scratch and remove the carbon crusts. For any dry skin, you may dab clean, dust-free cloth on it.
